Overview:

The Covid Inquiry Information Governance Division (CIIG) was established in the summer of 2021 to lead a cross-government program of work to support the Scottish Government in preparing for and responding to the Scottish and UK Covid public inquiries. An extensive program of work led by CIIG is underway across Directorates to record key Covid-related decisions (events) and to ensure that information supporting and evidencing these decisions is retained and stored within the Scottish Government’s corporate electronic record and document management system. This work will support us in being prepared to respond to requests from inquiries.

Responsibilities:

This role requires ability to follow instructions and excellent attention to details.

  • Work as part of the Information Governance team to redact and prepare documents to the highest quality while following instructions and processes
  • Provide support to wider evidence and legal teams in the assessment and identification of specific pieces/types of documents
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure to smooth and efficient running of the responses to the Inquiry
  • Develop and implement required processes to ensure efficient running of the documents preparation
  • Ensuring the evidence is appropriately catalogued and retained on the corporate system(s)
  • Working collaboratively with iTECS and wider CIIGD division to identify required documents

  • Ability to handle and analyze different forms of information and escalate any issues to the management while providing solutions.
