An Assistant Teacher provides support and assistance to individual students or small groups to help them better understand the content and help them to complete assignments. An assistant teacher also supervises students outside the classroom during lunchtime, field trips or recess.
Teachers Assistants are tasked with helping teachers develop and implement customized lesson plans for the current years students. Teaches Assistants will handle the overflow of low level work such as grading tests, quizzes and papers.

About Organization
Lancashire County Council is the upper-tier local authority for the non-metropolitan county of Lancashire, England. It consists of 84 councillors. After the Lancashire County Council election, the council is under Conservative control.
Prior to the Lancashire County Council election, the county had been under Labour control. The Council leader, currently Councillor Phillippa Williamson chairs a cabinet of up to eight councillors. The Chief Executive and Director of Resources is Angie Ridgwell who was appointed.
The council was established under the Local Government, covering the administrative county. It was reconstituted under the Local Government to cover a different territory. In the, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool left the area covered by the council.
The council’s Conservative administration established a partnership with BT Group called One Connect Limited. 40% was owned by the council and 60% by BT. 800 council staff were seconded to it.
It was to run various back office functions and it was claimed it would save £400 million over ten years. the partnership was dissolved, though some services were still run by BT. A police investigation followed allegations of corrupt practices and fraud. 
Teacher Assistant  Responsibilities For Jobs Lancashire County Council

Work with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule.
Assist teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
Revise lesson material with students individually or in small groups.
Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean.
Oversee students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on field excursions.
Collaborate with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions.
Document student progress and communicate with parents to keep them informed.
Help lead teachers to create lesson plans.
Comply with state, school, and class rules and regulations.
Attend all training classes, parent conferences, and faculty meetings.
